Area Meetings!

Hilltown Sustainability Group Meeting

The next two meeting times are July 3 and August 7 in the social room at the Village Church.
Note that we'll be meeting a half hour earlier at 7 pm so that we can wrap up earlier.

For the July 3 meeting, Dave Christopolis of the CDC will take some time to present about the CDC.

He writes, "For my presentation, I would like to present a transparent look at the CDC. A brief history, but a focus on our current funding situation, current projects we are involved in and where I would like to take the organization over the next few years by engaging the community in our work. This can be 10 minutes then I would like to spend the next 10 minutes on community engagement, the Keep Farming initiative and the incentive for donors to contribute funding to the CDC to receive a 50% state tax credit." There will also be time for discussion and questions.

For the rest of the meeting, people requested that to get to know one another better they would like discuss what brings them to the meeting. There will also be time for announcements and other agenda items as time allows.

Looking ahead to the August meeting, Kathy Harrison is planning to discuss the concept of creating a Community Emergency Response Team. She and Bernie Forgea have been taking the training so that they may offer a local training to create a CERT some time in the fall.
